Research Conference Chair

Niranjana Krishnan is a Ph.D. candidate in the interdepartmental toxicology program. Her research looks at the non-target effects of insecticides on monarch butterflies. She obtained her bachelor's degree in microbiology and her master's degree in biomedical genetics from India. Prior to becoming the Research Conference Chair, she served as a senator for toxicology and was part of the Conference Organizing Committee and the Finance Committee. She also serves in the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC) society. She founded the Entomology Journal Club at ISU, where graduate students in entomology hang out to discuss papers related to the field. She enjoys communicating science to the public and is involved in several outreach projects.
