Mayyda Mukhtar (she/her) is a 2nd-year Ph.D. student in Computer Engineering. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from her home country, Pakistan. Her doctoral research focuses on secure communication, exploring innovative methods to enhance the security and reliability of data transmission in modern networks. A dedicated advocate for community engagement, she has been actively involved in her community and served as Vice President of the Pakistan Student Association (PSA), where she organized cultural events and fostered a sense of belonging among fellow international students. She also serves as a senator representing the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the GPSS for the academic year 2024-2025. Outside of academics, she enjoys sightseeing and experimenting with new recipes.
