GPSS Fall Social (December 8, 2019)

GPSS is hosting its Fall Social for the Graduate and Professional Students on December 8th, from 4:30 to 6:30 PM at Perfect Games! GPSS will be covering the cost of bowling and bowling shoe rentals, and will also provide pizza and soda. Please contact the Social Committee with any questions!


Senator Filed Day (November 2, 2019)

GPSS is hosting a field day for the GPSS Senators on November 2nd, 1-4 PM in the Towers Recreation Field. Come meet your fellow senators, and have fun playing various games, includings cornhole, bocce ball, and horseshoes! It's just a short walk from campus, or along the #6 Brown Cyride route. There is also street parking near the fields. We hope you see you there!


Fall 2019 Graduate Student Orientation (August 29, 2019) 

The Graduate College and the Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) invite incoming graduate and professional students to the Fall 2019 Graduate and Professional Student Orientation.

  • Time: 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm
  • Date: Thursday, August 29, 2019
  • Location: Reiman Ballroom, ISU Alumni Center, 420 Beach Ave.

Fall 2019 GPSS & Graduate College Host Workday Open Forum

The Graduate and Professional Student Senate (GPSS) and Graduate College are hosting Workday open forums for graduate assistants in July and August in the Memorial Union.

Topics to be discussed include:

  • What is Workday?
  • How will Workday affect my graduate assistantship?
  • Will I still receive direct deposits?
  • Will the amount of my stipend change in the new academic year?
  • How will Workday affect travel reimbursement?
  • Will there by different processes for applying for PAG or getting PAG reimbursement
