All University Judiciary (AUJ)The AUJ hears cases in which a serious violation of the Student Conduct Code may result in suspension or expulsion from the university or cases of minor nature that are referred by the Office of Judicial Affairs. 8 seats available.

Campus and Community CommissionThe Campus and Community Commission provides a public forum to facilitate discussion of common interest to the City of Ames, Iowa State University, and Iowa State University Student Government. The members offer recommendations to the Council regarding issues that have been brought forward as common interests. Upon City Council approval, this commission will investigate those issues. The commission prepares and gives a report of its activities to the Mayor and City Council yearly.Katherine Taylor 
CELT Advisory Board This committee works to enhance and strengthen ISU learning and teaching initiatives campus-wide. Huanjiao Dong
College of Liberal Arts & Sciences Diversity and Inclusion Committee The LAS Diversity Committee will advise the Dean on the full range of diversity issues confronted by the College. These include issues related to the recruitment and retention of a diverse faculty, staff, and student population; the quality of the college and university environments for diverse populations; and the appropriateness of the curriculum in providing students with the necessary knowledge, attitudes, and skills to function as global citizens. Beyond identifying issues, the Committee is charged with making concrete recommendations for change aimed at enhancing diversity in the College. The LAS Diversity Committee is also asked to coordinate with its university counterpart and to advise the Dean regarding recommendations from the university committee and their implementation. Computation Advisory Committee (CAC) This committee is responsible for overseeing the expenditure of the student information technology fee assessed to all students and advising the Provost and ITS on appropriate expenditures. Philippe Meister
Event Funding BoardThe Student Organization Event Funding Board provides recognized student organizations an opportunity to receive funds for events throughout the academic year (fall and spring semesters only). As a member of the board, you will have the opportunity to review event proposals from a wide variety of student organizations and assist in allocating funds to events that will contribute to Iowa State's diverse and vibrant community.Gang Han
Equal Opportunity Student Council The council is a new Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) initiative designed to provide students with an opportunity to communicate with campus leadership, and engage the wider community, about equal opportunity, equity and inclusion on campus.-- Paused FY19 --

Graduate Commencement CouncilThis council works to put together the event, speakers and dates of the Graduate Fall and Spring Commencement Ceremonies. Paul Otyama
Graduate Council: Arts & Humanities This council provides a mechanism for interaction among graduate students, postdoctoral associates, graduate faculty members, and the administration of the Graduate College on questions of policy which concern the direction and process of graduate education.  This committee has 4 graduate students seated, one from each of the following divisions:  Arts and Humanities, Biological & Agricultural Sciences, Physical & Mathematical Sciences, and Social Sciences & Education.

Student Government Graduate Senators at-large These senators are either elected by the student body or nominated by GPSS (more common). These graduate students provide a critical liaison between Student Government and GPSS, informing GPSS of Student Government happenings and provide graduate representation on the Student Government Senate which represents the entire student body. International Student Advisory Board This committee assists the International Students and Scholars Office in addressing concerns brought forth by the International Students and Scholars population at Iowa State University and reviews proposals put forth by the International Students and Scholars Office and assess the usability of those proposals. Library Advisory Committee (LAC) This committee serves as the primary advisory body to the Dean of the Library, focusing on issues such as funding, general policies, and strategic vision. Jacob Zirkelbach
Memorial Union Board of Directors The focus of this board is to provide advice to ISU on all policies and priorities for facility use and programming involving the Iowa State Memorial Union. Norin Chaudhry (GPSS President)
Performing Arts Council (PAC) This committee advises the Iowa State Center staff on programming choices that comprise the annual Performing Arts Series at Stephens Auditorium. Carrie Ann Johnson
Policy Library Advisory Committee (PLAC) This committee advises policy developers and approvers on the Iowa State campus. Nicholas Streauslin
RMM Student Affairs Advisory Committee This committee advises the Senior Vice President for Student Affairs on the level of funding required to efficiently provide the type and quality of service desired by the university community. Its deliberations are informed by information and advice from the respective administrative units, with clear accounting for all advisory committee recommendations and commentary.  GPSS has two seats on this committee in addition to the president of GPSS. Special Student Fees and Tuition Committee (SSFTC) SSFTC is a statutory committee of 5 students (2 of which are graduate students, specifically the GPSS President and Treasurer) and 5 university employees who consider any proposed student activity changes at the university and make recommendations concerning the student activity fee changes to the President, prior to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa scheduled meeting where these will be discussed. Student Affairs Advisory Board This committee advises the Vice President for Student Affairs on the level of funding required to efficiently provide the type and quality of service desired by the university community.  Graduate representatives are the GPSS president and another graduate student.  
Student Health and Wellness Liasons The Student Health and Wellness unit now function under an ambassador program to provide instruction, programs, and coordinate the direction of the larger student body.

Transportation Advisory Council (TAC) This council’s primary function is to serve as a channel for the expression of user-group opinions and preferences, both on broad policy matters and on specific issues, pertaining to the movement of people and vehicles to, from, and around campus. University Budget Advisory Committee (UBAC) This committee advises the Executive Vice President on a broad range of functions that cross the entire university. The GPSS President represents graduate students on this body. Norin Chaudhry (GPSS President)
University Child Care Committee This committee addresses the needs of ISU families and provides recommendations to the ISU administration and Campus Child Care Coordinator. Mashud Alam
University Committee on Disabilities This committee is responsible for sharing knowledge concerning disabilities with the university committee, for fostering awareness of the needs of persons with disabilities, and for advocating ways to meet these needs. Lily Mathison
University Committee on Diversity/VDPI Council This committee annually assesses the effectiveness of diversity efforts on campus. Its objectives include: identify gaps in university diversity policies, develop new proposals and initiatives to strengthen diversity efforts, and insure the entire university is working to meet ISU’s Strategic Plan diversity goals. University Committee on Lectures This committee works to bring a broad spectrum of lectures as well as cultural and artistic events to campus and evaluates the appropriateness of presenters and topics and determines which shall receive funding. Tovah Wolf

University Committee on Women This committee works to promote a university climate that fosters the full participation of women faculty, staff, and students and concerns itself with policies/practices that may cause particular difficulties for women as employees and students. Greta Stuhlsatz
University Sexual Misconduct Leadership Committee The Sexual Misconduct Leadership Committee consists of members in the Dean of Students Office, Division of Student Affairs, ACCESS, ISU Police, Human Resources, Student Government and Faculty Senate. The committee is structured to coordinate and provide support for efforts across campus addressing gender-based violence. Jessica Adams
Work/Life Advisory Committee This committee advises the Executive Vice President and Provost on the issues of managing professional and personal lives of faculty, staff, and graduate students. The committee continuously reviews policies and practices to identify ineffective or unfair practices and propose solutions (new or modified policies, practices, or training).
